Research on plastic in food storage
Peer-reviewed journals, government agencies, and standards bodies.
“Each food container released approximately 100,000 to 260,000 plastic particles.”
“We found that food containers exposed to high-temperature released more than 10 million microplastics per mL in water.”
NGO guides, independent testing, teardowns, and documented community reports.
“When Fulfer put hot pasta in a black plastic takeout container and followed the same procedure, she again saw microplastics under the microscope. Even more came off the container and leached into the pasta when she microwaved it in the same vessel.”
